For years at Dunn Electric we realized outside of professional competence, the only thing we had that would separate us from the bigger companies, was our reputation, or how we serviced our customers. For over thirty years, we have always focused on exceeding customer expectations every step of the way. We start early, even before contract award, by calling, and if possible, visiting the client and creating a personal relationship, and walking the facility so we have firsthand knowledge of what we are bidding on.
My first lessons in customer care, came from my mother when I was a young boy. Many times, she would have me run to the community store for our elderly neighbors, and I would always pick up a little extra if I knew they were missing an item or two. In our church, I served as an usher and given the task of helping the elderly out of their cars and get situated in their seats. So, for the longest of time, I was taught how to serve those less fortunate, and now at Dunn Electric I have passed those traits down to every employee.
Customer care starts long before we get to your site, it starts in our initial planning, contract proposal, blueprint review, and fulfilling our supplies needed for the job. We make it a habit to arrive to each site a minimum of one hour early, so we can better assess your needs, walk through the assignment, and asked as many questions as possible. Our professional competence serves us well in this area, because we have seen enough job sites to know exactly what you need, and we always go a bit beyond by determining how we can add more value than you asked.
Sometimes this additional value may be in the form of upgrading a circuit braker, changing out a light fixture, or inspecting your smoke alarms. You see it is the small things that count, and we pay close attention to every single detail. We have learned over the years that repeat business is determined by the small things you do, and the relationships you create.
When it was announced Dunn Electric, won the 2020 Kentucky SBA Small Business of the Year, we realized it was because of the legacy of excellence that we created. We cannot rest on our laurels, but are surging ahead seeking larger contracts, more challenging clients, primarily focusing on federal and State-level opportunities.
